Welcome to My Blogspot

Welcome to my summer journal. Enjoy with me the fun, silly, challenging, triumphing, and awesome days of my road trip to the west coast on a bike. Post comments, pictures (if you can),song lyrics, your own funny stories of the summer, scriptures, or whatever your heart desires.

On May 27th.... I set out to pedal across America with a team of young-adults to raise awareness for the affordable housing cause. I will be leaving from Jacksonville, FL and ending my journey in San Francisco, CA. Cycling is new hobby for me, so I know this task of pedaling almost 4,000 miles this summer will be challenging on the endurance and the quads.

Thank you to everybody who helped me reach this goal. I am so thankful for your love support, and encouragement. I hope you enjoy "Chelsea Across America."

Baking a Billion and One Cookies....

So I love baking....

I decided a good way for me to hopefully make some money was to sell cookies. I asked several people in my classes if they would like to buy a cookie for a dollar to support Habitat for Humanity and other affordable housing groups.

I was so excited because in one day I sold like 68 cookies. At the end of the week I went home and decided I would bake all the cookies Sunday night and have them already for Monday morning.

I baked almost 200 cookies.

I went in the kitchen loving every part of baking and came out 5 hours later despising the thought of baking one more cookie.

ALTHOUGH my hands and head were tired, this week (with the help of my Roomie Emily) I sold over 134 cookies to people around UNCG campus.

My parents helped me out with some left over cookies and made $62 dollars.

Who knew that a bake sale could get someone almost $200 dollars. By the end of this week I reached the $2,625 dollar mark.

I guess I'll be baking my way to 4,000
